Yahoo!
What does Yahoo penalize for, are they the same or similar to Googles restrictions?

Yes!
they are very similar with only small differences.
They both refine things all the time, and keep a close eye on one another.

I haven't figured how to rank well at Yahoo. I do get some traffic from Yahoo but not yet seen kind of proof that a certain thing contributed to that specific ranking.

Yahoo likes, how to put it...."more" types of online search engine marketing efforts than Google. [::cough:: ::spam:: ::cough::]

I think Yahoo isn't penalizing sites for keywords in the domain, unless its a manual penalty for a spam site. The Yahoo algo is changing, so it could also be part of that. They are slowly making the rounds with regards to spam. But I still see lots of serps that return pretty darn irrelevent junk, mostly with keyword rich domains. I like working more with the linking for Yahoo, then its actual optimization which similarly like a Lite version of Google.
