    Default Yahoo BL drop?

Anybody else seeing a drop in Yahoo BLs for their sites? For the past couple of days my two sites are showing a drop in BLs of over 60%.

No wonder why your avatar is banging his head. lol

We see a fluctuation all the time in Yahoo backlinks. For one of our sites it can be as much as 15,000 links sometimes depending on what DC you hit.

Yahoo has been purging tens of millions of pages in its index the last few months. In many cases, only the index pages are being shown for many, many web sites.

Most likely, many of your links are on the pages that Yahoo dropped from its index. Hence, the decrease in backlinks.

    I see it, I went from over 1M in Y! to under 500,000 IBL's.

So, you mean to say that if am link to other site, then that site had dropped down its index therefore it would be affected also to my site as my backlinks?

i hope you get my point..

I've also noticed huge Yahoo BL drop. I've gone from 5000 down to less than 1000. I think it has to do with not recognizing links on internal site pages, or sites where your link shows up site wide. Just a thought.
