Question about Search Rankings
Aloha, why is it that my website shows up as #1 to #6 on Yahoo while I can't even find my website on Google or MSN?? I linked my website with many high ranking websites but that only seem to improve the yahoo ranking.

Jim,
As you will read there are a lot of folks that are trying to understand their rankings as well! Age of site, SEO friendly, Linking system etc are all part of the equation!
Read some past threads and you will see you aren't alone!

These search engine all use different proprietary algorithms to determine how sites are ranked in their database. In general, these algos compare hundreds of on-page and off page factors on individual web sites and on comparative web sites.

Quantity of links are only a portion of the equation. In fact, there many important variables in your linking strategy that can influence your overall rankings.
I checked a few things ragarding your site (jamesbfoster.com). Among them, I found that Yahoo has 908 pages indexed, Google 272 pages indexed, and MSN only 10 pages indexed. You should check your raw web logs to see how often the MSN bot visits your site, and if it consistently stops at the same point each time. This may indicate a design problem that impedes the MSN bot.
Your SEO provider should be able to provide you with more details.

Age Of Site A Factor For Google
Google is on its own time frame. There is absolutely no telling how far behind they are.
Age of the site is a big factor in Google.
How old is your site JimFoster?

Google is more about age of site and BLs. Onpage seo plays little park with google for real estate sites. Real estate is a money word for google and if they relaxed their algo for real estate terms they would lose a very large portion of their adwords income. I personally believe that there is a different algo for real estate sites.

SEO and Google
SEO does play a big part in Google SERPS IMHO.
I have two RE sites in the Top 10 in G that is less than a year old, and another that is just now a year old.
None of the sites are over endowed with back links.

That is true but as you and I have figured out it was from all the themed linking done between Las vegas real estate sites. I truly do believe this and IMHO that is what made a big difference. Linking real estate sites with same themed content, same targeted keywords and meta's gives a site an authoritative presences with google, once again IMHO.
