I think that Yahoo! is moving, only slower. They are fine tuning right now big time.

I think they are coming along and learning from previous mistakes.

Yahoo! has still a strong following so I doubt that they will miss out on being head to head with Google and msn, where as it looks this road is headed.

I am not sure about any of this but I follow the pattern and to me it looks like less than a year from now, those 3 search engines will be very close to each others when it comes to number of searches performed by overall web surfers.

Yahoo needs a lot of work IMHO. Right now, they aren't on par with MSN or Google. If they don't do something, MSN is going blaze right by them to challenge Google for top dog.

Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part. I just realized that my old outdated pages are moving up ... web sites I forgot I owned like http://www.designer-handbag-stores.com http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=des...gle=1&ei=UTF-8

moving on up while my new and better ones are not even being cached.

Hate to disagree Jade456, but right now Yahoo! is actually putting up better results than MSN IMHO.

You have a point with MSN's last update. I don't know what the hell they are doing. Some of the results are pretty crappy lately.

Yes I was really disappointed with MSN when I noticed that same guy that is still #1 for our KW has another site www.henderson-las-vegas. com listed at #7 that is running all the same bogus links and redirects.

Google and Yahoo! have banned him, maybe MSN will catch on too.

You would think that MSN has as good of a technical staff as G & Y, or maybe they just haven

The algorithm of Yahoo's search has not attracted nearly as much attention for one reason or another. Speculation and general advice about it have been available, but only a few people have seriously attempter to explain how Yahoo ranks sites.
