Default Spam and Junk Mail Question?

So I have been receiving a lot of junk mail lately and stupid advertisements in my inbox lately. It is quite frequent too like if I don't check it for a day I will have around 30 junk emails. I was wondering how i can block these things from getting sent to my email or at least make more of them go into my spam folder. I am currently using yahoo classic email i believe so does the new one have better spam guard or something that would help??

I think both the classic and new version of Yahoo email have the same spam filter. I beleive the only difference is the interface.

When you are sorting through your email, don't use the delete button to remove the email. First mark it as spam. when you are done you can then clear out the spam folder. This works to train your spam filter. Over time it will improve on determining what you think is spam. You may also want to go through your spam folder and mark items that are not spam.

Junk mail and spam became a fat accomplice, but annoying and time they can be. With anti-spam vendors offering low cost licensing, enterprises can now afford advanced email spam and virus protection with easy to use interface with a much lower cost.
