I'm thinking of trying Yahoo again simply because I think googles adwords is getting too expensive. What do you think?

Default Yahoo vs. Google Adwords Reply to Thread

I have handled many Google Adword accounts and Yahoo ads. I think Google adwords still is the best despite the cost factor. If you worry so much about the cost, I suggest that you hire a small company or hire a "Adwords qualified Professional" to create a one time ad for you.

The reason I said to hire small company is because you need someone who can truly spend quality time with your campaign. It is important for that " Adword qualified professionals" to know two important factors.

    1. What is the maximum amount you're willing to spend

    2. How much do you make per closed client.

With this, he can create a formula of what makes sense for your adword campaign.

If you are on a tight budget, I wouldn't suggest you to use "Yahoo ads". Too many reasons why I say that.

I think it's good to try it to see and compare what is more effective for your business. Though i must admit that advertising on google is worthy as long as you know how to use PPC effectively

Agreed. If PPC is done correctly, Adwords is the way to go. Keep in mind ALL factors must be running as one smooth engine in order to keep your CPC down.

Google AdWords is a better choice if you are interested in clicks, impressions, and conversions. If you want the lower cost per click for the same position, it would seem that Yahoo is the better choice (though conversions are lower).

Of course you can try and use Yahoo, but Google is much better, although it's more expensive. I use only Google adwords and I am very happy about it.

    Default Run Both

I typically will run the same ads on both with the same keywords and compare results...I've found Yahoo! to convert some campaigns better and Google others...it can depend.
