I have been averaging bet 30-50 hits a day, when I run an ad on craigslist my hit count goes up to 100-150 a day. Is there a general rule of thumb on number of hits you receive that is converted to sales/customers??

Any advice would be appreciated.

First of all your homepage is flash. Hard to index in search engines.

Remember more content/text = better ranking

I agree. Too much flash kills the site.
Other than that, it's easy to use, clear and nicely done.

I would suggest the following:

1. Get rid of the intro, it's bad for SEO and I've never been successfull with them myself.

2. Change the page background colors to white (Hex code: ffffff) or gray (Hex code: dcdcdc)

3. On your menu, reduce the font size by a few points, and instead capitalize each menu item. Get rid of the italics and just keep the bold lettering.

4. You can change some of the red lettering on the gray background to maybe white. I'm not sure about this though, I'd have to see...

And presto, you've worked magic!

yeah i agree with this it is important to have more content so that it's easily crawled by the spiders..
