Default Review of my new real estate portal

    Hello everyone,

I recently created a site to advertise listings in my area (Connecticut) we have attracted a few agents and have a couple hundred listings now.

We are looking for feedback on how we could improve our site, any feedback on the site itself or what you would like to see as agent to help advertise your listings.

    MyHouseInCT dot com

    Thanks in advance everyone,
    Ben

Well you've created a basic site from a template design. While there's nothing wrong with this it seems you have barely scratched the surface of being creative.

You're site will need video. Take a look at my site which is built from scratch (no template at all). Home Video Tour - SELL YOUR HOME WITH FULL MOTION VIDEO! - I'm not saying my site is at its peak yet but you'll notice that the display of the home information is mapped out very well and includes all elements except a calculator.

Best of luck. I would say simple is still what you want which is good but you'll have to step up the creativity to have people interested in your site over Realtor, Zillow, Trulia right? You'll have to propose an idea that makes people believe your information is updated better and/or is faster than the other competitors..... unless you've got SEO on your side which Realtors will have to buy into if you have a top spot.

Great idea man! But you should really make a new more personal design. It maby would suffice using WP? An easy soloution!
