Exclamation New Site/Server TweetMyHome - Reviews Needed

Hello agents! I just launched a new web site targeted at... well... you! So, given that, the best person to get feedback from is you!

The web site is TweetMyHome.com and promotes a single featured home daily. The idea is that for 24-hours, all eyes are on your home! The home will be posted on the main page, emailed to newsletter subscribers, tweeted, and posted on Facebook.

I'd appreciate it if you could take some time to review the design/concept/features of my new site. For doing so, I will give the first five agents to fill out the TweetMyHome form a free listing on the site!

Again, I thank you for and look forward to your feedback!

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Interesting idea.

I noticed that there is a green box near the bottom attempting to attract agents to post their listings with you. However, the call to action is basically invisible. I searched pretty hard to finally activate the "click here" link. It is so hidden that the normal person would never find it.

The idea itself is not unique, but it doesn't have to be. I presume it's attempting to feature one home in order to generate buzz like deal of the day or like all the coupon sites popping up. However, my concern would be that those sites are popular because they provide really good deals. Things like 50% off or really hard to find things. Plus most of the time, the things for sale are impulse buys. A home is a huge purchase that you don't make leisurely.

Unless I'm missing something, the houses are not a bargain deal. What about this do you think will make customers interested in viewing your one and only home for sale that day? In other words, why wouldn't a customer just go to a public MLS and search for something that they want.

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts!

Thank for the feedback. I understand your point, and no, these are not necessarily good deals.

The idea is not to compete with MLS or anything like that. The idea is that it's a quick glance every day at one home, so it's not a huge time commitment. Literally would take a couple seconds to tell if you were interested or not. Plus, because of everything delivered to your social media accounts it's convenience and fun. It's a fit or it isn't. But it's kind of fun just to see the home of the day.

And if you're the seller, the key is that you have the spotlight. Most people will not be interested in your home, but by reaching the masses you definitely get it out there and infront of alot of agents who may or may not have an interested buyer. That's the idea anyway...

Well done! Great color scheme for sure. Excellent use of font styles also.

    Bravo!

I would honestly say that your time could be better served elsewhere. Postlets, for instance, allows you to instantly post onto Zillow, Facebook, etc and if you have your Zillow and FB page linked to your twitter then you are posting the exact same thing albeit a stripped down version.

Without the branding, the sites relevance becomes lost. The only way I feel like this would be effective would be if it showcased green homes or luxury homes or perhaps even just unique architecture so that it could build a following. I don't see a purpose in randomly tweeting a home just because. The success rate is built on random chance. Never a good idea.
