    Default best websites

Which company did you use to create your personal website and what do you like and/or dislike about them? What do you think is a fair price to pay for both setup and the monthly fee? Any other advice? Thanks!

Default But then who really has "The Best Website"

    Hi,

I've seen many great websites but no one can "Truly" have the best
website. The reason is this. Different websites are used for different purposes
and while I have several, they are used in a totally different way. Do you have a branding site,
squeeze page, or sales letter site? I recently just purchased a new
one and my web hosting fee is about $14/month.

    Hi Prop4Everyone,
Thanks for your response. I was thinking about a general agent promotion site with agent info, a blog, info for buyers and sellers, local info, and listings. Your site looks nice and $14 per month is a great price!

I can't remember the name of the company now but I know in my area the majority of the Realtors all get there websites done by the same national company. If I am correct it only equals out to around $200 a year for domain, hosting, and design.

What about creating your own site using wordpress.com? They're free to start with, and you can also add pages just as you would with a regular real estate website.

You can also purchase a more custom theme to use on wordpress, I think they average around $50-$100, but it's only a one time fee.

I recommend you to do some web search and ones you find the site you like, try to see if it is written who made it or contact the site owner and ask.

    Default Cheap web designs

You get what you pay for. I think it is unrealistic to expect to pay $14 per month for a online business. Real estate agents are so savvy now, that you will get lost in the crowd if you don't get serious.

Budget a minimum of $15,000 per year for a good website. Yes, I said $15,000. I guarantee you that the good agents know how to make this work, or they pay someone to do this right.

Real estate can be profitable, but gone are the days of the orange book that got passed around the office.

Sellers expect a good website to showcase their homes. Buyers will stick on a site that is set up properly and engaging.

Do not expect your Word Press blog to take the place of a high quality website. That is an entirely different subject, and lends itself to "if it's free, it's for me." No such thing.

Come on agents, step up to technology and get going. A power agent making bank from their website would not suggest anything that is $14. I'm not picking on anyone here, but rather a reality check. Work a second job to pay for your marketing until you have some deals coming in. You cannot scrimp on this most critical piece of your marketing.
