    Default Pro's: please review a non-pro's site

Hi, all. I'm a webmaster by trade, and have a very successful site in an area completely unrelated to real estate. However, two years ago I created a real estate/mortgage site with the idea of someday expanding upon it.

I've started working on it again, but I can't figure out what sort of content would make it unique. Right now it's just like a million other sites out there.

If anyone has time to look at it, I'd appreciate it. The site is at www.buyyourhomeguide.com.

Yes. Adsense, affiliate or direct advertiser revenue. If this site had as much traffic as my main site, I could easily clear $20,000 a month from Adsense alone. But getting that kind of traffic means giving people something they generally can't find elsewhere.

What is your main site? Why not put ads on your main site?

Also you need effective seo for your site, and that means on site, AS WELL AS, off site.

    Thanks for the replies, AugustaREGroup.

I do have ads on my main site, which is related to guns. However, advertising pays less than $1 CPM compared to $10, $15, $20 or more for mortgage and real estate.

I've been doing SEO work for about eight years. Depending upon the time of year, my main site gets between 450,000 and 750,000 visitors and 1 to 1.5 million or more page views per month.

Gotcha, seems like there are tons of different SEO methods out there. I am very new in the whole process so I do not really think I can be of much help... I am PMing you a good website though
