    Default Free Web Authoring tool

NVU is Free Web Authoring tool that is much better than FrontPage and rivals DreamWeaver. It generates css/xhtml and best of all it's free.

NVU is now in its forth 1.0 Preview Release and can be downloaded from http://nvu.com. Learning curve is less than 30 minutes.

I can do hundreds of times far better by hand-coding, instead of having such a simple program do simple tasks for me -- try to find "How To Use HTML" thru Google or any other SE and learn from scratch ... you'll benefit in the end by controlling numerous aspects of your website when you can code by hand.

    Hi,

I manage a few websites and I've found dreamweaver as a must have. It's not free but, it's really worth it.

anyway nvu is pretty good and you might want to try mozilla.

Perhaps we are answering the wrong question. A more appropriate question would be "What tool will BEST accomplish what I need to do with my current level of knowledge, experience, etc.?"
