Aweber is a great tool. I have been doing newsletters for my clients for a long time and after using various methods i realised that with aweber you get the complete package.

Its not free but good things never are. You can track emails, make autoresponders, make multiple mailing lists and it also lets you compare your current campagns to see which is getting the best response. You can also make custom newsletters or use the templates provided.

Aweber has hepled me become more aware of the power of email marketing, and if you are new to this i recommend for you to have a look.

Firstly you need to decide if you need this method or not as this is not te most effective one and I advise you to choose something else which is much better.
You need to make a mailing list and use it. As for tools there are many of them and they are all not free for sure and it is up to you what to choose in fact.

The best way to start any marketing campaign is to find and identify your "target audience" so in this case you'd want to start by getting those persons' e-mail addresses - and go from there. Hope this helps some.

Adding a subscription to every customer you have that visits your website by giving their email add to you is among the starting process of email marketing. Or you can start buying list of emails that you can target for your email marketing campaign.

I've used various tools in the past both desktop and webbased. Am using MailChimp most at the moment as I find it is one of the easiest to use and has probably everything you will need as an estate agent. Yes, there are others out there that have more features but most of those would never be used in the real estate industy.

The first part is acquire the list. If you just bought the list most of the system won't let you use it.
If you want to use Aweber for example, you can't just import the list and send them email. Your members have to double optin, meaning they have to enter their email address in a form, they'll receive an email from Aweber, and then they have to agree on the Aweber email. If they follow those steps you can send them email with Aweber as long as they don't unsubscribe.

If you just want to use your list, with your traditional email Program, you have to know several points.
    - Most ISP have a limit of the number of emails you can send, some it's 200 / hours, some 200 per day. If you pass that limit you might receive a message saying you reached you limit.
    - When a domain receive too many email quickly from the same sender(for example AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, ...), they think it's a spam so they don't deliver it. For example if you send 2 emails in less than 2 minutes to a AOL email address, it might not be delivered.
    - If you have a List of over 2000 People some provider are going to ask you how you did acquire it and let you or not use it.
If you have a List of over 5000 people, some hosting company are going to ask you to have a dedicated server.

Dealing with email is getting harder and harder because they want to prevent SPAM.
I would say the most difficult part is to build a list the way the systems like it, mixing offline and online is not that easy.
