Default Best Way to Get Indexed in Google

What is the best technique for indexing a new site in google?

I have been using social bookmarking with good success, but I was wondering what everyone else is doing

You actually don't have to do anything to get indexed by Google, Yahoo or MSN search engines. Their spiders will come to your site automatically. What most people don't know is that many search engines visit your website to index your pages automatically. If you were to add some PHP code to your home page that sent you an email every time someone visited your website home page, you'd be surprised to see 20 to 30 emails a day -- with a fairly new site!

Almost no website owners ever take the time or even know how to read their website stats. Most people would be amazed at what kind of marketing data is collected from every visitor, automatically.

For example: what browsers are being used to visit your site? I have a friend who loves Chrome and I said not many people are using Chrome (yet). We looked at his website stats and confirmed that very few of his visitors used it coming to him. For developers, this info is important so you can focus on what browsers to make your code work with. Non-developers think that all browsers are created equal and nothing could be further from the truth.

What countries your visitors come from is being recorded. What web pages are visited most often and for how long. How many hits your site receives and at what times of the day is being recorded. The amount of data that is captured is absolutely amazing and when you see it, it will blow your mind.

If you want to learn about what kind of people are coming to your site, you need to look at your website stats. If you don't do this, you're walking around with blinders on!

If your hosting provider doesn't offer this then you need to change hosting providers pronto!

Ping your newly created pages. There are a bunch of free sites, I use :Ping-o-Matic! myself. You can also sign up for a blogger account and post the links you just created.

Quality content it's a simple as that if you have good content search engines will find you and searchers will find you in time too.

To get indexed in the first place you need a couple of high quality links pointing to your site. Don't spam though search engines can tell and it won't help you in the long run.

I don't know what the hell the guy above is talking about with the tracking and statistics. Just get Google Analytics and your fine.

Totally wrong dude! You don't need any links pointing to your site to get indexed. Your site will get indexed whether you want it to or not.

Search engines follow other links to find new content if there is nothing pointing to your site, at all, no a search engine will never find it in the first place.

Ha ha, dude...who told you that? Have you ever heard of spiders? Have you ever setup a monitor to catch search engine spiders on your website? Search engine spiders visit your site all the time dude. Once again, you do NOT need any links pointing to your site to get indexed!
