I think SEO work is same effective either SEO is local or international though he must be professional.

It is same to some extent; but when you are trying to rank in Local search engines, you may try getting some links from local classified directories, local business directories, local search engines, Google places etc.

Sophie's right. There are many local directories AND directories that have regional areas for your ad/link to be posted into. Focusing on local or geographic keywords can also help bring in higher conversion traffic based off lower traffic keyword phrases. These phrases are usually a lot less competitive as well.

I think the most realtors need local SEO anyway. There are only some big players really aiming for national or even international rankings.

We are always so stressing about SEO and meta tags that we forget that there is something called off site SEO too.

In real estate business, reaching people is the key, whether it is via a website or other ways that does not involve internet. If you make yourself well known, people will refer to and come to your website and you get traffic. More traffic means more reputation, and that means improved rankings.

Off-site SEO would be things like getting linkbacks via blogs and article marketing, submitting to online directories, etc. There are definitely ways to drive traffic to your website via the "real world." However, these would not be considered off-site SEO, merely strategies to drive traffic to your website.
