Re: Google Analytics and Bounce Rate
I never heard of this "bounce" thing until now. This could be helpful to know if your website can capture interest of the viewers!

Google Analytics (GA) considers a bounce when a visitors lands to a page and leaves the site immediately after viewing only that one single page. It doesn't really matter how long he viewed that particular page.
It is really important to include the GA Tracking Code in all your pages, including the "confirmation page" because this way you can set up the goals, meaning that you have successfully completed one of the objectives of the website, generate leads. In your case, it wont be considered a bounce.
This applies to all the pages in your site because a search engine can send a visitor to ANY of the pages indexed, not just for the home / index page of your site.
Bounce is a landing / exit matter, time is not an issue to be considered.Last edited by chirriporealty; 12-19-2009 at 03:26 PM.
