    Default Multiple Domains

I have 20+ Domains registered different variations of my name etc....
I had them all redirected to my website until reading that google might consider that spam because all the domain names would have the same content.

Anyone know for sure if this is true?
If it is allowed should I submit all the different domains to google after I redirect them again?

If anyone has the answer or can direct me on how to go about getting the right answer I would appreciate it.

    Joseph,

The answer depends on how you are "redirecting". Is it a 301 redirect? If so, submitting forwarded domains to search engines is barely ever effective. A majority of search engines simply ignore the redirect.

One solution in your case would be to alias the domains within your hosting/server, creating folders so that all are actually "hosted" sites, even though they share the same content. If submitted at that point, the submissions are not spam per se, but the redundant content will not do much to help your rankings. Spamming search engines is resubmitting the same URLs on a frequent basis (each search engine has its own schedule for how often sites should be resubmitted, and they will crawl your site fairly regularly anyhow once they find it and read your sitemap & robots).

A more effective solution would be to vary content, keywords and metatags across your 20 sites. If they are hosted on multiple ip's and cross-reference each other, you will have, in effect, created a number of inbound links (backlinks).

The big question is what are you trying to accomplish? Did you register a number of domains in order to take advantage of direct navigation (ie, the URLs contain keywords your potential customers are likely to type into an address bar)? Did you register them to prevent competitors from piggybacking on your name and popularity? Was your primary goal in registering the names SEO and traffic? The answer will determine your best course of action.

    Default Thank you

I appreciate the great information you have given.
I originally registered all Domains because i wasn't sure which one I was going to use and also to have different variations of my name in case people spelled it wrong in the address bar. Then once I settled on Coretti Homes I thought that 301 redirects to my website would boost its SEO. With the info you supplied I have decided I will create another website and host it with links to my main website considering I don't have the money to host all 20+ domains. Thank you again!!!

Glad to help. Depending on where you are hosting, you may be able to setup sub-folders within one hosting account to serve different content to all 20 domains (so you wouldn't need to buy 20 different hosting accounts). You may want to ask your hosting provider if they offer that feature. If not, take a look at hosting options provided by RogueDomainsdotcom.

    Clarifying the last post...

If you create the subfolders under one hosting account, it will allow you to basically display 20 different sites, but as they are on the same ip and technically subfolders of the main/primary site, the links between them won't be backlinks (for SEO purposes).
