Thread: Real Estate property listings

I have already posted this on another forum but with no results and no replies -


I use a Real Estate software solution in all of my sites that is internet based and properties are uploaded through the website of the provider. The webkit is easy to install and being able to share property through this MLS is very convenient and results are good.


However, I have one company that I look after that is looking to go completely independant from the MLS and wants a system that you can upload through their main domain (having a password and username control panel to upload the properties) -


Does anyone know any systems that you can use (free if possible) - I have known people that have downloaded a free system that has worked fine. It needs to be easy to install, doesnt have to be the best in the world basic if fine.


I am not a programmer and I dont have time to start a project that I probably wont finish.


Any suggestions, I friend did mention property listings as xml - something I will have to look into or matbe one of you might know.

I have played around with an open source program called open realty. You can see details of this software at openrealty.org

Check them out. I beleive it is the best open source listing management program on the internet today.

Europe and I would like to find some info for good agencies like Switch Homes.
It is real estate agency selling Bulgarian properties. Already established contact with them and I very glad

What areas and countries do you want to promote and sell ? We deal with spanish properties from the Costa del Sol upto the Costa Blanca. We also have contracts with people that do bulgarian, french, italian properties.

Tell me what you are looking to do and what help you need ?

There is another one for Joomla called Hot Property. It's not free but it's cheap.

My suggestion is to write an API interface on your system and let you customers know how it can be called. Yuo can contach me PM to explain you the way it wotks.

HOw can we make one of those search box with a submit button that actually works and will lead to actual results? Right now I am with diverse solution it came with my socalmls. I hope somebody knows what I'm talking about. It's the little search for homes box. I know how to make the little input boxes and forms but just don't know how to make the submit/search button actually I don't know where to link it to so it will show an actual results.. Can somebody please help me?

I agree i also used the open realty for my real estate websites.and it's really great open source script for real estate listing. you can try it then you can also ask some help in there forum.

Open Realty is a great solution for listing management. They have a huge following and it is actively devloped, maintained and updated. It is scalable, expandable and an all-around great program. It is open-source and free.
