Default Forgery on deed - what can be done?

Hi there! I am hoping for some legal advice on a real estate matter. Due to an inheritance, I was 1/2 owner of a home. The person who owned the other half forged my signature to sell the property. What can I REALLY do? Is this a fight worth fighting? How do I go about fighting it?

Oh, I should add, I have a copy of the document (looks nothing like my signature) and it was falsely notarized as well.

This is exactly what my family is dealing with, forged signature and notary, except it's over property not a house. You most likely will have to pay for a handwriting analysis as we have to do but you may be able to recoup the cost in the settlement. Get a attorney asap.

Yes it's worth fighting for it's your property which was basically stolen from you!

In my state, the closing attorney photocopies the ID's of the parties involved. I suggest contacting an attorney ASAP.

No one on this forum should be giving you legal advice unless they are an attorney. I have provided a link to a busy legal forum where you will have better luck getting answers to your questions.
