New agent to mentor and mold!
Hi,
My name is Gregg Travis and I will be starting class's next week for my RE license at Champion. I would like to guage the interest for potential employer's now because I want to hit the ground running so to speak. I can email my resume' to anyone interested in what I believe is a great opportunity for them
.
I am a very motivated individual and I have a background in customer service which is my true enjoyment, helping people, and know I can be a great asset to someone. I am looking for a position on the westside of Houston not only because I have lived here for the past 35yr's but I have witnessed firsthand the growth and potential in this particular area.
I hope to be able to start-off 2008 in a positive and productive manner. I will truelly appreciate any lead's, offer's or advice which will help me land my first position.
Thank's to everyone who has taken the time to read my post/plea lol.

The meat packing houses will call you once you get your license. Don't jump in with the first company to call you. It mat sound flattering that they want you but you need to be in control of your life.
Don't look for help wanted ads. Go around to a number of companies and talk to the broker in charge and ask them what they have to offer you in the way of training.
Pick the company that will give you the most opportunities and training. Be wary of high commission splits. The money might sound good but if no one shows you what to do there won't be any money to split. Many of these types of companies will sit you in an office and leave you to fail.

KW will recruit anyone breathing, take no offense. Many large brokerages are all about the numbers, 400 agents x 3 deals each a year would still be a Great income for the company.
Find a place that can train you and provide you leads.

School and
what is covered and how it works in the real world are 2 different animals. Just don't give to much of what you earn away to where ever you end up, yet you are going to need to learn from a seasoned Realtor or Broker if you are going to make money.
When you get more experience think of using a broker who charges a fee per transaction with no monthly fees.
