    Default Abusive poster

Do you have any rules or guidelines about posters who write posts that have very little or nothing to do with the original question? They seem to do it to advertise their blog. I mean, how does a warning about con-artists in India have anything to do with a question about a short sale?

There are a lot of posters that post junk just so they can get their 15 posts and get their signature links to show. Sometimes we catch these folks and give them a warning, sometimes we shut off their ability to show signature links, and sometimes they are suspended or banned.

The truth is that even with all of the moderators we have, we simply cannot read every post every day. If you feel that someone is spamming the forum we would appreciate it if you would click on the "report post" icon (the red and white triangle with the exclamation point in it) and we will look into the post.

Please make sure you give us as much detail as possible when you report a post.

If I caught someone who advertise their business in the wrong thread, I just simply remind them that there are the right place to put there ads.

    Hi everyone..

New to the forum here and for me I always try to check the regulations first before even replying. In my experience it shows common courtesy to everyone and the moderators especially. Can anyone give me any advice in addition to what I can find myself?

    Thanks!

nancyarora2020 is doing this relentlessly these days. Most of the stuff is just copied from other sites (plagiarism) and posted with a link to their blog and has nothing to do with the original post or any of the comments in the post.

I sent 3 or 4 examples to the admin the other day but this person is still doing it. It is making us look bad to the public, which already perceives us in a bad light.

This used to be my favorite forum but lately I have not been hanging around because this person digs up old posts and is clogging the system.

I agree with greg and am myself just about ready to quit participating in this forum. When spam starts getting out of control like this it kills a forum. I know that I would be willing to help out as a moderator if that is needed. One thing is certain the poster greg mentions needs to be banned or it will end up destroying the forum.

I know several forums offer an IP Ban which handles most issues with spamers.
