Default Sign on timing out too quickly!

Why is the timing out period so quick? It is too quick. If I read one or two pages of posts, try to respond, I'm already logged out! I lose the 5 or 10 minutes I was working on the post. I know that if you follow the process and sign on without hitting back on the tool bar or whatever that it will post, but it doesn't in all cases. My computer at home and my computer at work have both had errors when this happens and I lose the post I had worked on. No wonder I haven't seen much traffic on the board except for brand new people looking for answers.

Is this something that will be changed or not? Please let me know if I should stop investing time here. Thanks.

P.S. Sorry for the upset tone, but I am frustrated right now (it just happened again)

This has happened twice now since I posted the last post. Any moderators out there who can please comment? Let me know if it is possible to have this changed, or am I stuck with the quick timing out of screen names? Thanks.

Yes, and it has happened more times than not. I click to reply to a post. I may take 3-5 minutes to complete the post, or while at work it maybe 10-20 between times. I understand the 20 minutes, but within 5 minutes?

When I am done with the post and click to post, it goes to a screen that says I need to sign in. I sign in, and now I cross my fingers and hold my breath. Sometimes it will go through and sign me back on along with posting my post. More times than not though, it just errors out, gives me a whole blank screen. My post is now in 1 and 0 heaven, never to be seen again. This is frustrating when you take the time to properly respond to a post. I have not responded in some threads just because this has happened and I don't want to start all over again.
