FSBO Category

I'd like to see a For Sale By Owner category added to the forum since there are categories for licensed real estate agents. Seems fair enough.

I am ok with that...I am not in your area but I assume that you are trying to sell your own home...is that correct

I am selling commercial property that I own, yes. I am aware of the owner dot com forum for FSBO but this seemed a fitting location for an FSBO category. After all, it's a "real estate" forum rather than a "real estate agent" forum, am I right?

Like I said, I dont have a problem with it....but then again, I dont make the decisions around here. I would say that as long as you have something to contibute, you should be fine

It's best to try to sell your home when you are not desparate to sell, it gives you time to try to sell FSBO. If you can't do it yourself, use a realitor. I've sold two homes and bought one home FSBO. Your house should sell itself.

I have no problem with FSBOs having their own section. There is a lot to learn from the professionals. They may even sell their properties to another FSBO.

I agree with you. A FSBO category would be nice. However, this might cause a lot of solicitation from the real estate agents

Yeah, I think it wouold cause too much of a stir with the real estate agents on here - this forum is more realtors (that's the impression I'm getting anyway!).
