Which Service Should I Use?
Hello, I am on the hunt for the most productive front end website that I can use as a realtor that ties into the MLS for searches and SEO. My broker doesn't offer a website for the agents and I need feedback which services are better. Thank you all for your time.

Website Developer vs MLS Service
Hi Nick
Well I am not sure which your looking for and mean by a "service"? SEO of course means search engine optimization which is the process of getting your web site noticed on the web. MLS / IDX pro services basically list properties that clients can look at when they come to your web site as a widget that is added by the developer. They do not really effect SEO much.
With that said: step one is to get a very SEO friendly web site built by someone. That would be web design or development ( which is a more comprehensive term) firm. You have to decide what firm or company is best for you, there are many , some good some bad etc. The type of web site you have built will need to be decided as well. There are static sites which have fixed content and usually require someone with design experience to change or add content. Then there are content management sites which make it a easier to add content as you write your self. Many people find it easier to this with this type of site to add their own articles and information. They can also add properties they want to high light as well.
Yet there are issues with both types of sites and SEO factors, so when you say the "best" be prepared to pay for that. The real estate market competitiveness on the web is extreme these days and one has to really look deeply into this and have a discussion with a pro. So what is the best is not an answer that will come easy at all. Its still the wild wild west to some degree. So be prepared to do a lot of research about this or find someone you trust.
if you just want a website so you can tell your clients to look at is one thing, but if you want a lead generation machine thats another. So what is "best" for you will depend on many factors ranging from your budget, your area and competition, if you will depend on that to generate leads or not, and your overall marketing plan , how much hands on you want to do, too many factors to list here.
The one thing is realize that good anything cost money and you can spend a bundle quickly just make sure you know what your getting into. I am very curious to see what other answers are generated here.
