Would love to see a forum discussing sustainable housing solutions

Hello all!

I think this forum is great, and I have really been enjoying reading the posts! There is tons of great information here.

I would really love to see a section of the forum that focuses on "green" real estate or sustainable housing solutions. This is an up-and-coming market that we really need to be looking towards.

Currently, many superficial rennovations are achieving higher returns on investment. Sustainable housing saves energy, health, and money. It is time we as Realtor began really pushing for this to change. The building industry will only follow the demands of the people-- and if we are still demanding prettier kitchens and bathrooms over energy efficient furnaces, geothermal heating, etc. then this is what they will build.

Please add a section for these type of discussions if at all possible!

yes this would be very helpful to pass info, exchange ideas and opinions. We need more insight into housing solutions across the board. I've been reading up on all the proposed programs and monies allocated for these types of programs have deep pockets. We should be able to come up with something more efficient, sustainable and economical
