in my own point of view..I have to agree with that because real estate agents are having a hard time in selling, that's why they need a SEO to help them..

yeah seo is the best for real estate business. SEO can make more sales and real estate can pay seo for the sales.i think real estate should know seo or hire seo guy to teach thier real estate agent on how to market in the internet.

Ok, so I think I can lend you some insight from all aspects here.
I was a mortgage broker and have had my fair share of real estate experience. My wife is a Realtor that I had to do the online promotion of her website. Sh learned what she could, but I figured out the back end SEO and Google advertising part of it.
I believe Realtors' should focus on what they know. Why should they learn the IN's and OUT's of SEO when there time is worth $1000's per transaction. Isn't there time better spent on being a Realtor over being an SEO specialist.
So all you real estate professions out there trying to crack into SEO, do yourself a favor and do what you Job title says: Sell Homes!
An SEO professional will be far more efficient at the SEO game then you and for even one deal per year, you will have probably paid for your advertising with them.
Select one that Does know real estate though. If they don;t know the techniques to get buyers and sellers in their specific train of mind to your website, then they are just going to link and blog all day along with 100's of other SEO companies trying to do the same thing. You may make a top 10 ranking for some terms, but the now real estate types, tend to focus on the wrong aspects to get customers to you. Best of luck though, cause SEO is where it's at. (That along with the a rockin good website)

I think that real estate is an excellent business to SEO. You can have hundreds of pages of unique and relevant content, use photos (make sure to use alt text), create a blog and have a natural linking structure from the blog to the site and human visitors (who are the ones you are writing for in the first place) LOVE to look homes.
