    I have to agree with TimuM, PR has great value and they do help you with your rankings. One way links are best, and always try to get PR 3's or higher.

    That can possibly happen, if the last bot visit before pagerank updation might differ in few days between both the sites and the bot might have found a few links more from one particular site and bam...your one site has a better pagerank than other
