Yeah, like when you become MSN.com.

I've seen many sites with page ranks of 2, 3 or even 4 that do very well. And I've seen PR6 sites that can't even be found for the company's name.

Couldn't agree more. I had a PR5 doing few bucks/month. I sold it.
I have a PR2 bringing $1,500/month doing nothing....

I am not si sure that PR is deadth. Maybe it is death for end user but not for google inhouse ranking.
