Backlinks
I am starting a new thread to really clarify backlinks for all of us beginners. Where are the best places to have a backlink to your website specifically AND pertaining to real estate? Post websites where you currently have your links and how exactly to get them on there.
I'll start with the easiest example.

I think that asking people to give away their best links might be pushing sharing a bit far

It is like asking people to share you where they are getting their benefits from back link - which I think no one else will give you.

I'm not an SEO expert either I'm a real estate agent, I was just suggesting that you should try to answer the question asked, which was in terms or real estate. Do you have a real estate site, and have you been able to find any .gov or .edu sites where you could get a relevant link?

I have found plenty simply from Googling terms such as "best real estate reciprocal links" and "best real estate directories." I have to admit, it is like pulling teeth to get many of them to reply or actually post your link on their sites but the few that do post it will help your ranking and will encourage others to do so as well.
