Is Twitter traffic really helpful in search engine optimization
I was reading an article about getting traffic from twitter and really does it helps to increase search engine ranking of any website? I found that twitter links are nofollow links and they are of no use. Means we should not promote our links everyday on twitter because it may reduce the PR Rank.
So, What do you think on this ? Is it true that twitter may harm your search engine optimization? Have you experienced any changes with your website ranking ? Please share your experience.

Twitter links have the "NoDoFollow" tag to them so the links do not pass any link juice that will help you in that respect. Twitter will help you get your pages indexed faster.
The real importance of Twitter has nothing to do w/ search engine placement, but it MOST certainly will help with targeted traffic and relationship building.

Twitter is one of the best social media to promote your websites buy tweeting important resources.So in my point of view all social media are particularity increased visitors which is responsible for increased trafficl easily.

I think it is a mistake to discount high authority nofollow links such as Twitter. Their value may be arguable but it cannot hurt to have them.

I think twitter can be useful if you have a good following and you don't over promote your site.
