There was a time when I actually liked Internet Explorer. That was like in 2000 or so. Well, at that time I didn't actually know any other browsers.

Anyways, nowadays I use 2 mostly (I still use IE every once in a while). Firefox and Chrome. I like the fact that they are both faster than IE and they have more add on options to make it easier for you to handle the things you have to do.

Since I have to multi task most of the time, those two browsers make it faster for me.

That could be one of your options. Thunderbird is free anyways and it wouldn't take much of your time to download. But, if you will be using email programs I would suggest that you use microsoft outlook instead of thunderbird. I kinda like it more and it feels more organized to me.

Until 3 years ago, I was only using IE on PCs. Than I tried Firefox, and was immediately converted. Then I changed from PC to Mac, started using Safari, which blows, so I'm back to FF. It is the greatest browser, with a plugin for technically everything you can imagine and more, easy to use, safe, reliable.

I am using Chrome on Mac. It's not perfect, for example it doesn't remember the password of some site, but it's more than OK. I use from time to time Safari, it's also good. But I am trying to use mainly one Browser because of bookmarking.
