Default Effective path for link building

I have been submitting my website and new pages as well as blogs to social book-marking sites. However, I have only about 20 of them and keep submitting over and over.

It is good for new sites but old sites are not very effective.

What is the best effective ways about building links for websites?

    Any advice is appreciated.

Try to promote the website as a much valued resource and in return Google will do the same. Use GOOGLE ! Many overlook this. Simply check out all those sites that are in the top two pages and find out why.Have an easily accessible privacy policy and about section so your site seems more trustworthy. Including a picture of yourself may also help build your authority.

Blog comments and writing blog posts, social bookmarking and forum posts are the most effective ways to create links to the site.

From my experience, what I can say is, most of the old sites do have good PR and good reputation in the view of Google and getting links from those sites really helpful and make the Google to trust more your site. But I do agree that there are old sites which do have less reputation in the view of Google. For that reason only PR is there, always go ahead with better PR sites

Blog comments and social bookmarking will do next to nothing in helping your search engine rankings. You need to focus on QUALITY when building links, not quantity. One of the easiest things you can do to get some decent quality links pointing to your site is to submit articles to EzineArticles.com. I used to flip websites on the side, and this is the first thing I did for every website I made. Also, remember it takes time to rank for valuable search terms.

Someone also suggested spending your time building connections with other websites and blogger in your niche. This is a really great way to get some guest blog posts on quality websites. Also, please keep in mind that PR is not the ultimate determinant of a quality website. Links from a website with 0 PR can still be valuable and highly beneficial if they are in your niche.
