    Default Black Hat SEO and White Hat SEO, What are their own specialties?

    Understanding of a little about SEO, I have heard of the Black Hat SEO and White Hat SEO. I have no idea about them. Who would like to share with me your knowledge on the SEO?

    White hat simply implies that everything is on the up and up. Meaning that you're doing everything manually (without automated programs) and you're not using techniques to try and skew search results. Better for long term and takes a lot of work.

    Gray hat basically is in between. Many internet marketers fall into this category. They'll use automated tools to decrease the time to do things that are repetitive. They basically just take white hat SEO techniques and supercharge them a bit.

    Black hat varies widely. A simple example would be people spamming Craigslist to generate traffic or email lists to promote different offers. Credit repair offers used to be big with people creating fake pages about apartments/homes for rent. They also may employ things like keyword stuffing, hidden content, forum spamming, etc. These methods usually work well for short term gains until people start catching on. You could be making really good money one minute and none the next.
