    Default Domain Name Age

There's two schools of thought as to whether the age of a domain name plays a significant role in how well a site ranks. I've seen Youtube videos from Google saying that it doesn't matter, but I've seen some pretty ridiculous looking sites at the top of the rankings. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Well, all things being equal, if your site is older than mine...you win. It plays a factor, but all things are not equal.

I just saw a post on Youtube from "GoogleWebmaster", who apparently is a software engineer who works on Google's algorithm. Actually he says that site age does not play a factor. Not sure if I believe that or not, given the number of horrible websites that show up as #1.

Do you think Google will reveal their secrets? I think domain age matters; for example, if 2 domains have SAME type of backlins and SAME quality of content (optimized) the one that is older should get higher rank. But again...it's my assumption...

I definitely believe domain age is a factor.. But you don't need years to close the gap, I think once your site is 6 months+, it makes the factor much smaller.

There are many options and combinations available domain name with different extensions. Domain investor must be able to evaluate its domain portfolio to some extent. This can help you determine the price range, domain, domain name choice is extremely difficult, as it may seem like a lot of the best URLs are usually already received.

    Default Important..

Ok, domain aging is important but it must have some archive history, not just a parked domain name.
Having domain name aging is one of tens of factors effects your ranking. You can always beat it with a better SEO work..
