Exacatly, google crawl is a process by which google get new and updated pages of your website. That's why for every website site map is important to be able to crawl your site easily.

Akash123 said it pretty well and would have to agree. All google crawling is, is google searching the web for new pages, content, etc so that they can index the pages and keep their criteria up to date as possible for search results.

XML sitemap is also helps in crawl and indexed full pages of your websites.....

Link well internally.. use a breadcrumb for users AND search engines.. silo your website to keep things internally relevant. Easy!
