I have not seen any major spamming when it comes to social bookmarking, although I am sure somebody somewhere is doing it. For me, it seems like a lot of work to create new accounts to add more 'bookmarks' to your site. White hat all the way.

Maybe, but I haven't seen anyone doing that. Since i usually bookmark my website once on a particular bookmarking site.

I'm with Maui on this one. That's a lot of work and you would have to have so many bookmarks for it to matter. Doesn't seem worth it.

Has anyone had any measureable success with Bookmarking? Is it Black Hat to buy social bookmarks? Because I have seen them advertised for very reasonable prices.

Agreed that many social bookmarking websites are nofollow links. But this i sthe fact that many users search these social bookmarking websites to get shortlisted websites bookmarked bu others.

Many of my client traffic increases after we do SB for them, it's just like managing profiles over various SB websites. At the end SB websites most of the time ranks higher.
