Default Linking to your social media pages from your primary website

Here is a question I have which I can't seem to find the answer.

If I link to my facebook, twitter and linkedin account from every page on my primary website, should I add no follow tags to the links. The reason is that if I don't, then my external links skyrocket compared to my internal links.

What are people thoughts on this?

I would definitely add the nofollow attribute to those links, specially if you have them on every page of your site.

While I am by no means an expert on SEO, I read someplace to add nofollow links to any links off my site. But I wonder if it was true?

i strongly agree to every one that it is better to have a no follow so you will not skyrocket you internal links...

Maybe this can articulate it in a better way:

yeah man definately nofollow...but heres the thing...you page rank will still be divided up equally between all out bound links. I suggest not having any outbound links if possible!

Add the no follow. You'd rather be safe than sorry.

If it is possible for you, put JS code on those links.
I know for a fact that google is following NoFollow tags.

Yup, put a nofollow tag to your site. Also make sure to regularly update your facebook and other profiles to take advantage of good amount of traffic from there.
