If it is not indexed yet, it will not be crawled by search engines so you must work on making your site indexed first.

Took me about 1.5 months to reach number one in google for "augusta real estate investing"
But it depends on how hard your term is and how competitive your market is

The sites or the blog can be listed within a day or hours. For ths you can go to google and open up a webmaster account..submit your sitemap to it and if you want crawler to visit your website daily then you have the options to do that aswell..

Google is maintained by editors from dmoz (see dmoz.org). Depending on the category you requested to be listed, it could take anywhere from a day (usually not the case) to a few weeks for an editor to check out the legitimacy of your site. As far as software that lists for you, I would suggest that you do it manually for Google. Hope this answers your questions.

If you concentrate on putting quality contents to your site regularly and use the right keywords on it. Surely search engines will crawl your site without you knowing it. You also have to build backlinks to your site. The higher the ranking of the sites linking to your site the better.
