To increase the page rank should create backlinks to your site

Back links is one of the important factors to have high PR.. But we are not just talking simply about back links here - its the QUALITY of back links that counts most.. Google gives more value on the quality of back links compared to those back links on irrelevant sites that we're getting..

Content is king. If you have quality content, others will link to your site naturally.

That is not to say that building backlinks through other means should be ignored, but if you have a finite amount of time to do work on your site, adding content will be time better spent.

In two hours, you can waste 1.5 hours searching for sites with clean (no rel=nofollow) links and .5 hours spamming these sites and possibly getting banned or moderated off.

Or, you can spend those two hours writing 2 quality blog entries or articles for your site, which become a permanent resource that encourages others to link to and tastes delicious to search engine bots.

It starts to get annoying when I hear people just blurt out the same garbage or nearly meaningless words all the time. The truth of the matter on developing page rank is you need links from sites that have lots of links going into them. If you recieve links from sites that have the same theme as yours you will have even more success at increasing the PR number.

One poster said that if you create really great content others will link to your site. When it comes to real estate this is not entirely true. On a real estate site I should have content the visitors will appreicate. This content will then be information about the local area. If you have awesome highly original content that consumers love you will not likely recieve very many links to this type of content, but it is the best type of content for a real estate website to have. The only way you can garner lots of backlinks is to blog about more national topics or topics that apply to real estate webmasters. This means you need to have a site targeted at your local consumer but then a blog page that focuses on more broad range issues in real estate. And this blog page needs to be on the same domain as your local real estate site. In addition you need to have internal links from the blog into the consumer driven content as well as back out to your home page. This will allow you to ramp up your home page PR.

Just having great local content paired with a bigger pictue blog will be enough. As real estate webmasters can be very stingy with their link juice. You will also have to build relationships with other real estate webmasters to develop trust and value what you are saying in your national blog. That will then encourage them to link to you.

You tell yourself that PR is not important.
Why don't you educate your client that PR is not that important and tell him it is more important to focus on ranking high in the SERPS ?

    Google PageRank is a formula.
If you get links from other high PR and related sites you will get a higher PR.

backlinks play a huge role but are not everything.
also try adding lots of relevant content to your pages. don't forget to update your pages at least once a week.
moreover, go through all of your pages and see how user-friendly they are.
    good luck!
