You can also have a home design blogs, loan modification blogs.. it some how related to your niche.

Based on my experience in blog commenting, you should look for blogs with the KeywordLuv plugin. The keywordLuv plugin separates your name from your keyword using the @ symbol, e.g. Matt@business cards. What happens is your site will be automatically be anchored to your keyword business card instead of your name.

do follow blog commenting is good but Google continues to de-value it because they consider it a very low quality link. I think it is something that you should do but just make sure it doesn't account for more than 10% of links just to be safe.

Those are great link building techniques and I have been working that.
I have not yet try the 5th and the 6th technique and I think that's nice I'll be starting to that.

very nice advice, however accoding to point no 4, google now can determine 3 way and even 4way reciprocal linking, so you have to focus mainly on gaining links naturally so that you don't get penalized.
