Post Get Top Local Search Results in 7 Easy Steps

Here are 7 easy steps to get your real estate website to rank high in local search results.

    1. Add your City and State to the end of your html title tags.
    2. Submit your Business to Google's Local Business Center.
    3. Join the Better Business Bureau + sign up for thir online program.
    4. Try and submit your website to relevant City and State Governmental Resources.
    5. Get a link from your local Chamber of Commerce.
    6. Try and link your site to all your local library's websites.
    7. Develop business relationships with non-competing businesses in the same field. Leverage these relationships online and off, by recommending each other via links and distributing each other's business cards.
People in smaller cities with less competition should be able to achieve top results by only doing steps 1 and 2. All 7 steps are highly suggested for people in large cities with lots of competition.

If you are a no tech person I do offer these 7 steps as a service package through my website. If you would like more information please feel free to contact me.

    Default .gov links

    Just to add to #4.

Most search engines (such as Google) give more weight to .gov domains compared to .com domains so getting links there is always a bonus for your site.

You are right on the money. The most highly authoritative domains include...

    • .gov
    • .mil
    • .edu
If you get a few of these links under your belt you will be loving your SERP's.
