    Default Vacation rentals discussion..

Welcome to the wonderful world of Vacation Rentals! Firstly to introduce myself to the members out there reading this - my name is Darren, and I am the director of a UK-based holiday rental company called Worldwide Holiday Homes.

I've worked in this industry for the last four years, so I have plenty of experience and knowledge of how the industry works, so please feel free to ask me any questions!

Vacation rental owners are going through a tough time at the moment, especially in the US where local council's are implenting strict guidelines on the number of vacation rentals within specific destinations.

You can understand it - imagine living in a small commuinity, next door to a villa which has new people coming and going every week, when the Summer break is on and hoardes of young people come to live next door to you to party!

In Florida it has being taken over by owners who rent out their villa, with thoughts of making so much money, have a read at my recent blog entry about renting and buying a home in Florida.

If you have any questions just fire them at me!

    Enjoy this great new forum!

    Darren

I guess there are not many vacation rental owners on this forum. I happen to own properties on the NJ shore.

Oh well...I hope what Darren is true. My rental gets 280 days/years rented. If it gets better, I have only 365 days...no more...

Where are your rentals? In NJ we only get about 3 months if we are lucky. Occassionaly I get a winter rental, but a nowhere near the rate of a summer rental
