Planning Goes a Long Way During a Move....
Hi Every Body,
How is life? Moving from one place to another is always a stressful exercise. All your belongings including the garden accessories, children's books, and good china have to be packed up, and you are sometimes at a loss to decide where to start. The only solution is to get organized and draw up a sensible plan for the whole show. It is wise to get your hands on the handy guidelines that are offered by moving companies which will make you a lot more confident.
Start with basic planning well in advance of your move, about two months is a good idea. Get in touch with a reputable mover who has satisfactorily provided good service to people you know. Tell the moving company about your needs and ask for rates that are based on an actual inspection of you premises. You can also ask for binding rates so that you do not have to worry about additional charges after the delivery is made at your destination.
Draw a checklist of the work you have to complete to accomplish the whole affair. Make a list of the belongings that need to be transported by the moving company and the packing materials you will require. Discuss packing rates with the company if you feel you cannot get it done on your own. Make a separate list of belongings that you are going to carry with you, like essential documents, and jewelry.
When you are able to finalize the date of moving, call the moving company. Give them the date you wish to have your items picked up and the date they should be delivered to your new destination. Make sure the movers have the complete postal address and any other special details they will need to be aware of at the other end. If you need temporary storage in the interim, make sure to arrange it.
Examine your checklist to see that every detail has been taken care of. Ensure that special packaging gets approval from the moving company because you certainly don't want any unhappy surprises. It is mandatory that you should be physically present when the movers start their operation on the moving day. You should cross reference the numbering system that you have used on the cartons.
Get the final word from the movers about the delivery date and probable time at the new destination so that you can be present there. Keep the movers phone numbers handy and enter them into your cell phone so that you can easily contact them if needed. At the time of arrival of the movers at the new destination, ensure that all arrangements have been made for unloading. Some companies will unpack for you and remove all the packing materials, however this will need to be arranged for in advance.
Best Regards...._________________________________________________
