    Default FSBO Prospecting

    Hi,
I wanted to share my unique FSBO prospecting. After deciding I wanted to stand out in my local field of Realtors, I wrote a book, titled 'Sell Your Home: Tips, Tricks and Ideas from a Realtor'.

The book has sections on getting the home in tip top shape with inexpensive fixes, how to best run an Open House, ideas for better advertising, and checklists.

The book also has a section on my marketing versus other normal marketing. I use a few things that other Agents in my area don't. Many still seem to think a bland MLS entry, a sign in the yard and maybe a small ad in the Homes and Land is enough.

Anyway, with one email, I was featured on the front page of my local newspaper's Saturday Real Estate section, generated a lot of leads and have listed over 20% of the FSBO's I have given a book to. However, none of the FSBO's have listed their home with other Agents.

I freely admit my follow up could have been better when I first started using the book and have implemented better follow up routines.

So, the point of this is to say get to work, think outside the box, and stand out!

If anyone wants info on my book, feel free to send me a PM. I'm considering customizing it for Agents across the US, so it will be cowritten by the Agent. The charge will be far less than any other marketing material you can use and the book will make you one of a kind in your area.

Just as you said, think outside the box.
I do that for FSBO. I list 4 of every 5 FSBO I contact.
FSBOs are the easiest people to list for me. They want to sell and they're easy...
But I don't need any book or eBook to do the job...
