Altinkum means “golden sands” and it is the beach area of the town of Didim on the Aegean coast of south west Turkey.
The location is already popular with the British for holidays and retirement, mainly because of the low real estate prices, the friendly locals and the weather. English is widely spoken and it is far more westernized here than many people in other countries realise.
