My New iPhone App!
Hi All,
I've been a long time reader first time poster. I've just created a new iPhone app called Auction Assistant.
itunes.apple.com/app/auction-assistant/id426899210?mt=8
It's an app that helps you track your bidding at auctions and works out your limits and loan information for you on the spot.
After attending a lot of auctions i thought of this app could come in very handy.
I also have 20 free coupons available so for those that are interested you are welcome to PM me and I'll send the coupons to the first 20 people.
Or you can get it from the app store and support this budding developer
.
Finally I would welcome any feedback or suggestion you may have - Apple's app feedback system unfortunately is woeful....
Thanks All!

Interesting App. As an budding app developer myself doing a real estate app, I like where you are headed with this, cool idea. I hope it does well for you.
While I would need to play with it more to provide any useful feedback and I certainly would not want you to waste a coupon on me, from the screen shots, you might consider formatting all the monetary values with commas, dollar signs, etc. Perhaps you could add a monetary value (Euro, GPB, etc.) for those using the app in other countries.
I have never been to a real estate auction so I am not sure how the work flow lines up with the auction activity, but I assume you took that into count when developing it. Did you do the code yourself are contract out the work? My buddy and I are doing our own coding, it's a lot of work so I have a lot of respect for folks that are taking the time to develop things on their own.
It's not clear what the numbers are on the Auction History. Not sure if that would be useful to make that the property address or not.
Good luck with the App.

Hi Java Jack,
Thanks for your thoughts. Having an option to set different currencies and also formatting the values with comma's has been on my to do list and i'm hoping to implement it in the next version. Interestingly and probably not surprisingly, with the app only having $ sign at the moment all my sales so far have been from US and Australia...
I have done all the coding myself during my spare time. This is my first app and was a great learning exercise on how to code for apple iOS.
I'm currently working on a free version of the app with iAds which I hope to be release after easter. This will give a chance to anyone who's interested to have a play around without having to spend anything

Yes, we are planning on a lite version as well that will be free and have ads. It will not offer full functionality, but it will give users a feel for what the app does and whether it will be useful for them or not.
Perhaps we should chat off line. I would love to chat more with you about your experience and plans. I will send you my email address via PM if you are interested in talking more.
