although very time consuming answering high ranked blogs with your keywords will help you get one way back links.

It is debated whether no follow links hurt or not. In my opinion the one way links are worth it even if they are no follow links.

Try posting regular articles on free sites like articlebase.com. When people are searching for content to put their websites they can use your article and you can put a link to your website at the bottom.

If you're really into blogging and the industry you may want to apply to write for Inman news - they have quite a few guest writers from all over the industry with links back to their own personal projects.

Lastly, whatever you blog, post it on a more public blog like on Trulia, Zillow or Activerain.

Get out there and try some social networking. But dont try and do it on active rain. Try Facebook and Myspace. The only reason I say no on AR, its primarily for real estate agents, you going to sell a house to realtor?

Many website owners are deterred from generating high quality inlinks to their website either from lack of time or lack of money. The truth is that creating thousands of free inbound links does not have to be time consuming or costly. In fact there many ways to get free inlinks to your website without spending a time
