    Default Contact Management

I have been through countless demonstrations and training sessions on a wide variety of functionally-rich software tools for Real Estate agents. The trend I am seeing are tools that combine a number of useful functions into one software package. Content Management, client management, search and mapping capabilities, MLS access and lead generation to name a few.

What is happening is that agents start using one of these packages, and use it effectively for sometime. Then a new tool is released and now the agent wants to switch to this new tool.

My question is this - After a year, two or maybe more of using the former tool, is there an easy way to export all of your "life's contact information" into the new tool? Sure you can probably export as a .csv file (excel file) and "maybe" import into the new tool, but is there an easier way that someone has seen or heard?

It depends entirely on the tools involved. The program may or may not have import and export functions built in, and how well they work may vary. It's a question for the company that developed the applications.

We use a software solution for real estate agents and have done for the past two years, everything is backed up on 2 servers, we have a tool to extract the information for clients using excel which can be transfered else where.

outlook and top producer seem to work fine for the needs of one agent. but when it comes to that agent needing to hand out leads to other people on the team, and actually trackign each of those leads, any of you have a better software solution?
