It all depends on what you are selling. I have yet to hear that anyone found their realtor on Twitter.

Product/Service Introduction
Twitter is good in product/service introduction. And like what they say in the movie industry "there's no small roles, only small actors"; there's no small mention in the Web, only small patience. Every mention counts wherever they may come from, Twitter included. So keep patience big and continue your presence on Twitter.

Twitter is one of the best tool that delivers so much traffic that you haven't gone through yet and maximum people are actually getting more benefits by being associated to it.

it depends on some factors
- what you offer
- what purposes you have
I work on real estate portal and use twitter=traffic
facebook=traffic+clients
digg=traffic
xing(european social network) new for me but interestingInternational real estate portal TOP-CASA - realty around the world.
