Old School Real Estate
With all of the interest in marketing real estate on the internet shall we just through away all of old ways? I have recently produced some home-made signs encouraging people to call me for rent 2 own homes. After placing a few around a neighbor hood I quickly had some prospects. It did not take nearly as much time as creating a website, managing an email campaign, or producing a continual supply of content. Just a few well place yard signs that will probably get confiscated.
In a recent negotiating workshop the instructor promoted the idea that agents should always present their offers in person. What a novel idea. I thought he made some compelling and arguments. It sounds a bit crazy in a world that is seeking to do business without ever having to see anyone in person. Are we really ready for virtual open house, virtual tours, virtual staging. Next we may have virtual buyers, using virtual money, to buy virtual homes. I think we shoulod re-consider real (estate).Robert Jenson

The Internet is changing the real estate industry on a daily basis.Zillow is not the only Web 2.0 company trying to make a go at real data estate. The relating to real estate for sale on this website comes in part of an exchange program of the MLS data in which this real estate Broker participates.

All good points, but we have to change with the times. If we don't someone else will and take all the business. Soon, nobody will remember not having a cell phone when they were 10. Think about it.

Old School vs New Gen
Using the old school style is okay, but dont you think its high time for a change in this industry? If you notice, almost everyone is engage in computers and the internet, we search and find everything on the web so better take it as your advantage. You can have a large quantity of possible clients online. You just need to have a good promotional skills and a nice looking website.

It is necessary to know such schools that are completely based on real estate education so that later it will be much better in knowing everything which is necessary.
Joining this school or any other institution will be worth learning all the basics that are essential.

where not talking about "school" the literal way as a place to study, although its not a bad idea, anyway the topic is about doing real estate marketing the old way, things like giving away leaflets, posting classified ads, going door to door etc.
so do you think online marketing is a good option?
for me yes- read my post just above your post for the reasons..

Face to face is where the magic happens. That's undeniable.
I prequalify everyone into the ground before I get up from the computer but I do everything in person after I have decided to actually give a client my time. Rentals, sales, development - whatever. If I am invested, then I am FULLY invested.
There is no other way. The internet is beyond omnipotent. You can't ignore that. But personal touch is what makes you stand out. It's what separates the "realtor" and moves them into the category where people remember your name.
